Breast cancer awareness and screening
National Breast Cancer Day in Argentina — 19 October. KuraTe joins the call for prevention and early detection, with respect for every woman and person with breast tissue on our platform and in our community.
Why it matters
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. When found early, treatment is often more effective. Awareness is not fear — it is taking charge of your health with reliable information and regular checks.
What you can do
- Know your body: notice any persistent lump, skin change, nipple discharge or unusual pain — and consult a doctor promptly if something is new or worrisome.
- Clinical breast exam: a health professional can examine you during routine visits — ask when it is appropriate for your age and history.
- Mammography: screening intervals depend on age and risk factors. In Argentina, public programmes and social works often cover mammograms from age 50; high-risk individuals may need earlier follow-up — confirm with your doctor.
- Family history: if close relatives had breast or ovarian cancer, mention it to your physician — you may benefit from personalised screening.
For models and guests
Health is private. KuraTe does not collect medical data and does not judge anyone’s body or choices. We share this information because caring for yourself helps you stay confident and present — in work and in life.
- Models: scheduling check-ups is part of sustainable self-care; your wellbeing supports the quality you offer clients.
- Guests: support the people you meet with respect; health conversations belong in appropriate, consensual contexts only.
- Everyone: encourage the women and trans men in your life to keep up with the controls their doctor recommends.
